Summary
Sky and Scion worked together rather well, not great but alright, Scion is more aware of CQB tactics and when asked if any of this was new to him or just a refresher, he did say it was a refresher. Sky however was not soo great; common mistakes were made, when I asked him a question about what does he not get about one drill, he excused the fact saying that he hasn't played the game in a long time. I had looked him in the eyes and told him, "That doesn't excuse what you don't understand about the simple drill we are running.
Sky struggled with a lot throughout the training, but as we break down things for him, he progressively improved. However, he is still prone to making mistakes, he is a timid and kind of shy/socially awkward person as he's commonly loosely handling his firearm, never will you see him being incredibly conscious about where is barrels pointed, looks at his feet a lot, doesn't keep his head up whenever he makes mistakes.
Sky is a delicate soul with potential at a base level. He tried at one point tried to relinquish pointman to Scion claiming he can't do it but he's a 'visual learner'. I pointed out that there is nothing to really visually learn from someone being pointman as you yourself have to learn how to be not just pointman but play any role in the stack. He carries a lot of self doubt. But nevertheless, he did perform well during basic with Scion. However, further confirmation evaluation is required to confirm IF he's capable of continuing onto other classes.
Sky has also doubted his ability to aim which was iterated that it doesn't matter. Overall, based shit that can be improved on his own time can be done with further support. Sky did share that he can do, 'solo cqb' which carries no value here.
Nothing much can be said about Scion as he did well, he too was willing to try and assist his battle buddy to help him understand, to help him get where he needed to be, and acknowledged his own mistakes and grew from them. He's a good sport, shows promising results to be here.
